Sondheim First and Last
A gala concert celebrating the 70th birthday of composer Stephen Sondheim , devised by Julia McKenzie and featuring songs from some of his best-loved shows, including A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd , Follies, Sunday in the Park with George, Assassins and Into the Woods. Starring Kim Criswell , Samantha Shaw ,
George Dvorsky , Henry Goodman and James Graeme , with a special guest appearance by George Shearing. The BBC Singers and Concert Orchestra are conducted by Eric Stern. This concert was given earlier this year at the Peacock theatre, London, as part of the Covent Garden Festival.
