The Great Stars: The Last Sunset

on BBC One London

The Great Stars of yesterday and today in a season of their most memorable films
[Starring] Kirk Douglas, Rock Hudson
with Dorothy Malone, Carol Lynley, Joseph Cotten

Three men bid for a woman's love on a difficult journey from Mexico to Texas - her drunken husband, a murderer and former sweetheart, and the man who is determined to track him down.
Kirk Douglas gives a fine performance in this Western which was scripted by Dalton Trumbo, the writer who, along with nine others, was blacklisted by Senator McCarthy for alleged Communist sympathies.
