Love is the theme of a first Proms commission by Gerard McBurney, which sets a Russian love letter by writer Daniil Kharms. And the rapture and pain of love shine through two timeless ballet scores by Prokofiev and Ravel, which complete tonight's concert in the Royal Albert Hall.
