Tom, Huck and Jim, the slave, have discussed ways of getting rid of warts. They decided to try Huck's method which meant going to the cemetery at midnight, There they saw the murder of Dr Robinson by Indian Joe and made an oath never to tell what they saw. But next day the wrong man, Muff Potter, is arrested.
