Youth crime has reached a record level and is regularly in the headlines, but the views of young people are seldom heard, even though, in many instances, it is the young themselves who are the victims.

In a series of specially shot films, Reportage travels to some of the country's crime hotspots and talks to young people who break the law, in an attempt to discover what motives lie behind their actions.

The programme also includes highlights of crime items from the last series.
