A special documentary to introduce a new season of films. Since the 20s, American films have thrived on the talent of its youngest stars such as Jackie Coogan , Shirley Temple, Mickey Rooney ,
Judy Garland , Margaret O'Brien and Elizabeth Taylor. The audience appeal of their films earned these children millions of dollars and provided financial underpinning of several Hollywood studios.
Through extensive film clips and interviews, this documentary, narrated by Roddy McDowall , examines the phenomenon of the child star and explores the new roles of today's stars.
