I See Ice

on BBC Two England

A season of films starring one of Britain's most popular film comedians, George Formby Today with Kay Walsh
In this lively vehicle George plays a provincial photographer's assistant, who invents a camera so tiny that he can operate it secretly from under his bow tie! Inevitably it leads to complications, beginning when George loses his job - and ends up as an ice-hockey referee.
The climactic ice-rink sequences provide Formby with an ideal opportunity for slapstsick and good-natured fun.
