Night Waves

on BBC Radio 3

Eugene O'Neill 's epic The Iceman Cometh has not been performed in London for ten years, but as American film star Kevin Spacey makes his London theatre debut, this ambitious tale of dreams and shattered illusions is back in the news. Richard Coles reports on tonight's opening at the Almeida Theatre. And although dispersed around the globe and fused with other cultures, the writers of the Caribbean have created a unique literary world. Night Waves explores the distinctive language and imagination of some of the world's finest authors.
