Saturday Late Film: Emperor of the North

Two of Hollywood's tough guys are reunited with the director of The Dirty Dozen in tonight's film set in the 1930s depression era. Marvin plays A-No 1, Oregon's top railroad hobo. Borgnine is the sadistic train guard who 'would rather kill a man than give him a free ride'. The violent conflict between the two men is heightened by the arrival of a young tramp, Cigaret, who decides to learn from the top man how to ride trains.
