Gardeners' World

on BBC Two England

Shades of Spring from Abbotsbury Gardens, Dorset
With a wide range of azaleas, tree rhododendrons, rare and exotic shrubs,
Abbotsbury garden provides a magnificent display of early spring colour.
Being protected by the Chesil bank on one side and Abbotsbury Hill on the other, these sheltered gardens give the impression of being in a mysterious sub-tropical jungle. Roy Lancaster and Graham Rose talk to curator John Kelly and discuss its history and treasures.
