On 28 July 1942, a German industrialist passed to the World Jewish Congress representative in Zurich the information that Hitler was deporting the Jews of Europe to the East and exterminating them. The same man also warned the Allies of the German attack on Russia. Until recently the industrialist's identity was a secret.
David Wheeler tells the story of the search for Eduard Schulte's name and the story of his heroism.
