Starting next weekend, BBC2 will feature 32 hours of opera programmes including eight complete operas. They span 200 years, from Mozart to Britten, with productions from seven different countries and a host of international operatic stars. From the well-known tunes of Carmen to the sombre spectacle of Khovanshchina tonight's programme shows there's something for everyone - grand tunes, ensembles and solos; drama, comedy and spectacle.
