12.05, 1.40, 3.30, 4.00, 4.30 Cricket: Third Test Coverage from the Oval of England v Pakistan. On the lasttwo visits to the Oval, Pakistan have clinched series victories over England. Fouryears ago they beat England by ten wickets to win the five-match series 2-1 while in 1987 a draw was enough to give them a 1-0 victory.
Javed Miandad steered the tourists to a record score of 708 in that 1987 match, Miandad hitting 260 of those runs with Salim Malik and Imran Khan also passing the century mark. This total meant England were forced to engage in a formidable rearguard action to escape with a draw, which they did thanks to Mike Gatting and Ian Botham. Commentary by Richie Benaud , Geoff Boycott , David Gower , As if Iqbal and Tony Lewis.
