Video Nation: Life, Death, God and Everything

on BBC Two England

Last in a four-part series of camcorder documentaries reflecting the hopes, fears and lives of the British public. Tonight, people from a range of religious backgrounds and spiritual convictions explore the ultimate questions: the meaning of life, of death and the possibility of reincarnation.

A ten-year-old boy sees the afterlife in terms of bright lights, amusement parks and rock music. Such optimism contrasts starkly with the view of a woman from Stoke-on-Trent, who believes that wicked deeds in life will result in recurring agonies until the Day of Judgment arrives. Other contributors search their souls for answers to what the future might hold in store for them.
