The magazine series that aims to offer the ultimate guide to the countryside.

To fans of the television series All Creatures Great and Small, the Yorkshire Dales are Herriot country. Swaledale in particular was a source of inspiration to the best-selling author known as James Herriot and, following his death earlier this year, his son and daughter take to the hills to explore one of his favourite walks. Also in tonight's programme, Simon King picks his way through the dense undergrowth of countryside law. Pitfalls for the unwary range from the illegality of picking up a fallen bird's egg to dogs committing trespass.
Once again cartoon character Mr Crabtree goes fishing, this time for pike, and Ray Mears turns his canoe into a makeshift shelter.
