Viewpoint: Portrait of the Pope

on BBC Television

His Holiness Pope Paul VI appears in a Viewpoint exposition of his life and thought.
In June 1963 Cardinal Giovanni Battista Montini succeeded 'good Pope John' in the chair of St. Peter. Tomorrow he leaves Rome on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, the first Pope to do so since the days of the Apostles.
The BBC wishes to acknowledge help given by the Italian Television Service, the Vatican Secretariat of State, and the Istituto Nazionale Luce.
