The Final. Live from the Barbican Hall in London, the biennial contest reaches its climax as five finalists compete for a specially designed trophy and the prestigious title BBC Young Musician of the Year. Each contestant will perform a concerto with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Andrew Davis , in front of a panel of distinguished judges. Cellist Guy Johnston , a previous victor, performs on stage in the run-up to the announcement of the winner. Presented by Stephanie Hughes , with comment from lain Burnside.
