7: Georg Buchner
Georg Buchner died in 1837 at the age of 23. He is perhaps best known as the author of the play from which Alban Berg took his opera Wozzeck. He was so far ahead of his time that many people do not realise that he was writing in the early 19th century. Both Woyzeck and Danton's Death are extremely relevant today.
