Opera on 3: Samson et Dalila

on BBC Radio 3

Saint-Saens's opera based on the biblical story from the book of Judges, recorded at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, in March. Samson is the hero who fights, but eventually gives in to the feminine wiles of Dalila.
