Prince - is he a pretentious poseur or the pretender to the throne of American rock? His high-profile appearance at the recent BPI Awards would suggest the former, but reports from the USA indicate an explosive talent. His phenomenal success in the States has made Prince one of the world's most sought after artists.
In the early hours of this morning, his concert in Syracuse, New York State, was beamed live to German television's Rockpalast and BBCtv's Whistle Test. With no tour of Europe planned this may be the only chance for a British audience to see his stage performance. Introduced by David Hepworth
