3: Exploring 1970
† RICHARD STONE
P. D. Leake Professor of Finance and Accounting, Cambridge talks to STEPHEN ARIS of the Sunday Times about the latest book in his series: A Programme for Growth. This reports the first results from the mathematical model of the British economy which he and his colleagues at Cambridge have been constructing since 1960. The model makes it possible to measure the implications of sustained economic growth up to 1970 for particular industries in terms of output, manpower, and capital formation.
