Ingrid Bergman , in one of her most memorable screen roles, gives a virtuoso performance as a brilliant psychoanalyst who falls in love with her new boss, Dr Edwardes. It soon becomes apparent that 'Edwardes' is mentally ill and may even be guilty of killing the man whose identity he has assumed. Hitchcock's first excursion into the realm of psychiatry boasts an Oscar-winning score by Miklos Rozsa , dream sequences designed by Salvador Dali and one of the most famous kisses in movie history.
