Bob Geldof in Africa
Pop's famine ambassador ended the most hectic year of his life with an extraordinary journey - a pilgrimage to the drought-stricken areas of Africa to decide how to spend EW million, the money raised by the Live Aid concerts. Geldof s trip took him through six countries: from Timbuktu to Korem, the refugee camp which moved him to start Band Aid.
Christopher Morris looks back on Geldof's transition from pop singer to inspiration for the international response to feed the world.
