The motoring news of the week introduced by Cliff Michelmore with Michael Frostick
The Rover 2000 is ten years old today. Designed to cost £1,000, the car had many money-saving features when it was launched in 1963, including detachable body panels for easy and cheap repairs. Tonight's programme from the Rover assembly line at Solihull reports on how far the 2000 has lived up to its original reputation as one of the most advanced and safest cars in the world.
