Festival Close-Up: Steering a Ship by Radar

on BBC Television

View in Radio Times

One of the most popular exhibits in the Pavilion of Transport and Communications in the South Bank Exhibition is the harbour radar control set on which the movement of shipping on the Thames can be watched.
Tonight viewers will see a launch on the river being navigated by radar control. An attempt will be made to televise the picture seen on the exhibition's radar screen.
