Wheelbase: Meet Me in Mexico - The World Cup Rally

The survivors of the Daily Mirror World Cup Rally were due to reach the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City two days ago. Over 140,000 in prize money was waiting for the winners at the end of six weeks and 16,000 miles of motoring through Europe and South America.
Tonight's programme covers the battle among the high peaks of the Andes between the French Citroens and the British Leyland Triumphs and Ford Escorts, the closing stages in the tropical forests of Central America, and the spectacular drive to the finish through the streets of Mexico City.
