2.55* Lortzing and the Undine Legend by John Warrack
' Lortzing, with his quick eye for theatre, saw that there was an effective ending to his Undine with the rising of the tide of waters and the collapse of the castle. out of which there arises by supernatural means a new realm of love for the hero and heroine: but this is not to say that we have here a true anticipation of the Gottcrdammerung. What is fair to say is that this was one of the features that contributed to Wagner's rapacious imagination.'
3.11* Undine. Act 2
3.45* Interval Reading
3.55* Undine. Acts 3 and 4
