Stories of interracial marriages are told bywomen who have crossed the racial divide in an exploration of the impact of such relationships on Britain. Their tales about love's battle with white and black prejudice help chart the changes in public attitudes towards mixed-race couples -which range from early army briefings discouraging white servicewomen from entering such relationships through to the present day, a time when half of all British-born black men and one in five black women have a white partner.
