A series of three programmes on how scientific method can be used to solve problems of management. Some problems are so complex that they can only be solved by building a detailed model of the situation and experimenting with it.

In tonight's programme Eric Hobsbawm, Reader in History at Birkbeck College, London University, Richard Harris, Asian specialist of The Times and Colin Legum, Commonwealth Correspondent of The Observer, consider the appeal and the relevance of Marxism in the developing countries of Africa and Asia.
