Roy Armson (Lancashire)
Duncan, seeded No 2 in these Championships, is generally regarded as the top player in Crown Green Bowling. BBC2 champion in 1973 and 1974, he is expected by many to win again this year. Armson, a prolific winner of tournaments himself, also won the BBC2 Trophy in 1969 and should offer stern resistance.
