Michael Berkeley talks to the Amsterdam-based poet and writer Anna Enquist.
Music has always played an important role in her life: her first novel, The
Masterpiece, was inspired by Mozart's Don Giovanni , while a Bach keyboard partita is central to her second book, The Secret. Her other choices today range from Chopin studies and a Brahms cello sonata to Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms, Britten's Serenade, and songs by Heppener based on poems by Ezra Pound.
