Horizon: The Future - Made in Japan?

Following on their successes of the last 30 years, the Japanese now aim to dominate the technologies of the 90s and beyond. Among their targets: intelligent computers; fusion power and space.

But that means Japan will have to do fundamental research for the first time. And they're worried about it. Horizon asks - could they finally be over-reaching themselves?
