Scribbling

on BBC Two England

First of two programmes following famous authors as they struggle to finish a new piece of work.

Crime writer Minette Walters began her career as a magazine editor and wrote her first crime novel, The Ice House, at the age of 42. It became an international bestseller and six other novels have followed, selling over ten million copies worldwide. The latest of these is The Shape of Snakes, whose painstaking realisation from conception to publication is the focus of this film.
