Music for Westminster Abbey

on BBC One London

The Westminster Abbey Choir has sung during the greatest occasions of Church and State for more than 900 years - at the funerals of statesmen, at the Coronations of our Kings and Queens. In this programme the choir sings music by composers who have helped make the Abbey's choral tradition, who have held the traditional title 'Organist and Master of the Choristers.' Moira Shearer introduces tonight's programme from Westminster Abbey in which the present Abbey Choir pays a musical tribute to nearly a thousand years of music making.
