This week: The 1979 Game Fair
Back in July, during one of the only hot spells of the summer, 113,000 people converged on Bowood House in Wiltshire for the Annual Game Fair - one of the highlights of the country calendar.
With them went Angela Rippon and the In the Country team of Phil Drabble, Joe Henson and Gordon Beningfield who, as well as exploring the world of game and guns, looked at the role of the Game Conservancy and the craft of the gunsmith.
National fly-casting champion Jack Martin showed them the art of fly-fishing, and Nicola Cox gave them some tips on cooking country dishes. By the end of the day, Phil had bought a ferret and even Angela had learnt how to pluck a pigeon - well, almost!
