First Time Planting

on BBC Two England

If you have a new garden and aren't too sure about what plants to grow, then this new series is for you. Each week design and planting ideas will be shown in the demonstration garden at
Barnsdale, while visits to the mature gardens of Beth Chatto and Rosemary Verey provide a range of different ideas. The first programme of the series tackles the problem of poor soils and the selection of trees suitable for a small garden. Presented by Geoff Hamilton and Gay Search. Producer DENIS w.
