This popular style of music programme, pioneered on BBC2, returns with the first of six programmes filmed in the King's Room of Godolphin House, an attractive 15th-century manor in the depths of the Cornish countryside. The distinguished Hungarian violinist Sandor Vegh works on the first movement of the Brahms Violin Sonata, Op 78 in G major with Keiko Wataya from Tokyo, before an informal gathering of music students.
(Sandor Vegh's Masterclasses at the lnternational Musicians' Seminar in Cornwall were made possible by the support of Marks & Spencer)
