BBC Legends: Edinburgh Festival: 3: The Wind of Change

Stephen Johnson concludes his exploration of the BBC archive recordings from the Edinburgh Festival with a look at the festival in the early 1960's. Music includes two performances by the Philharmonia: the second movement of Tchaikovsky's Symphony No 6 in B minor (Pathetique) conducted by Carlo Maria Giulini , and David Oistrakh's 1962 performance of Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No 1 conducted by Gennadi Rozhdestvensky.
