Jon Nutman was 17 when he had an accident playing rugby at school. He's now in a wheelchair for life. Like the 3,300 British schoolchildren injured on the sports field last year, he has to prove that the school was negligent in order to win compensation. For years most education authorities have ignored advice to take out accident insurance for their pupils.
