Born the youngest son of an impoverished miller, he died in 1933, leaving a fortune and the blueprints for the engine that helped save this country in the Battle of Britain. He also left a philosophy of engineering excellence that is the foundation of Rolls-Royce; a philosophy imitated by few and bettered by none. As much as possible of this film was made in the places where Sir Henry worked and with the cars, engines, and aeroplanes he made. It's a memorial to a very ordinary, and yet very great man.
