Spring Special from Clacks Farm with Arthur Billitt and Peter Seabrook
Spring to many people means the glory of fruit trees in blossom. But for the gardener it is a critical time for spraying. Caterpillars, greenfly, bigbud mite and pear midge must be controlled, avoiding the beneficial activities of the bees. Arthur and Peter discuss the fruit-spraying plan for the new fruit plot. Arthur's trial of daffodil varieties should be at their peak, and in the greenhouse Peter looks at the progress of tomatoes, roses and bedding plants.
