Robbery and violence have broken out along the trail. Stagecoaches are attacked and robbed, and Jim Hardie, on the way to investigate, is himself held up. On arrival at Alder Gulch Jim quickly identifies the bandits; but what can he do, when even the Sheriff is in the racket?
