Today's story is called "Pybus Cat and the Fire Engine" by Hilary Hayton.

Today's Pybus Cat story takes place in Venice in Italy. Marla, who comes from Italy, reads it. There are pictures by Hilary Hayton. On Tuesday, Dressing-Up Day, Marla and Brian wear some 'country and western' clothes from America and then lead off with a square dance. Elisabeth Welch, who is the visiting storyteller, joins them in singing one of the songs from Oklahoma!
Through the windows on Wednesday there are some of the pelicans that live on the lake in London's St. James's Park. On Friday the experiment is about different-sized boxes, and on the picture board there are some of the pictures that have been sent in to Play School.
