Despite a long-term relationship and a number of affairs, Philip Larkin clung to bachelorhood, terrified marriage would stifle his writing. This dramatisation traces the poet's romantic life, from his arrival as librarian at Hull University in 1955, to his death - surrounded by the women who loved him - in 1985, and examines how his relationships affected his work. Contains strong language.
