Money at Work: The South African Connection

on BBC Two England

What is the connection between the South African economy and ours? Morality aside, how efficient is 'separate development' as an economic system? David Taylor has been to investigate the economic relationship between Britain and South Africa, and to find out where the balance of advantage lies.
As a market for our exports South Africa was worth £308 million last year, and British firms have at least £500 million invested in South Africa. Is this money well-placed? What is the true value of our South African connection?
