Rugby Special

on BBC Two England

Introduced by NIGEL STARMER-SMITH Edinburgh v Glasgow
The inter-district match between Scotland's principal cities puts on show many of the best players north of the border.
Last season Glasgow won the district competition and this victory was due in no small way to the efforts of their pack which included Scotland's props IAN MCLAUCHLAN and SANDY CAR-
MICHAEL.
The inter-city rivalry is age-old and this afternoon's match should provide an example of Scottish rugby at its best.
