Concluding the two-part film which highlights the shortage of human organs for transplant. A Change of Heart. In last week's film a donor heart was found for Rob, but Sandra was left waiting for the transplant without which she will die. This week the story moves to the laboratory at Papworth Hospital, where medical scientists are searching for a long-term solution to the shortage of human organs. They hope to make science fiction come true by developing transgenic pigs, animals whose organs humans won't reject. But the researchers also have to face threats from animal-rights activists who are horrified by such an idea.
