International Football WALES v. ENGLAND

on BBC Home Service Basic

View in Radio Times

A commentary during the second half of the match, by George Allison , from Ninian Park, Cardiff
This afternoon the first Association Football international of the war
-that between Wales and England-is to be played at Cardiff, and listeners will hear a commentary by one of the first (in all ways), of football commentators during the second half of the game. It will be readily imagined that with so many of those who would normally have been playing now serving with the Navy, Army, and Royal Air Force, it is not a representative international, but it is at least the first to be arranged this season.
