Part 1: Two finalists perform a concerto with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra leader BARRY GRIFFITHS conducted by Sir Charles Groves
The performances take place in the presence of The Rt Hon the Lord Mayor of London Sir Christopher Leaver who will present the prizes-six to the finalists, a sonata prize, a prize for the most promising finalist under 23, and another for outstanding merit awarded to a non-finalist. There is also a prize, unique in international competitions, awarded by the vote of the audience in the concert hall.
