Stan Tracey , the pianist and composer, talks to CHARLES FOX about his long career on the British jazz scene. He worked in the bands of Ronnie Scott and Ted Heath before becoming house pianist at Ronnie Scott's Club in 1960. The many pieces he subsequently composed for his own quartet include his famous suite based on Under Milk Wood. The programme is illustrated with some of his many gramophone recordings.
